We're a handful
of Galway locals
who love a pint.
Stroll to the Stout. The name says exactly what it is, you're walking through Galway and you're ending up at a pint of Guinness. No mystery, no marketing spin. Just an honest walk to an honest pint. It started with me, Ultan. I'd been teaching in Galway for years and loving every minute of living here. But when visitors asked me what to do, I kept pointing them towards the same things that never quite captured it. If you want to know what Galway is actually about, it's a great pint, live trad, GAA and good food. I couldn't find a tour built around any of that, so in the summer of 2025 I built one myself. A walking tour, a pint pour, a Polaroid to take home. A summer hobby. Or so I thought. By August it was clear this was bigger than one season. So I called Shane and Ronan. Shane is a fellow teacher. Ronan works full time as a marketer. Between the three of us we have exactly zero spare time, and we're doing this anyway, because we believe in it. Three people with full lives and day jobs who came together because we kept asking the same question: why is nobody doing this properly? We're not trying to build a tour company. We're trying to build the best thing to do in Galway. The pint, the trad, the GAA, the craic, things we'd show our own friends. Nothing staged, nothing fake. Just Galway as it actually is.
Galway has always had an answer to the question "what makes this city great?", a great pint, live trad, GAA and good food. We just couldn't find a tour that reflected any of it. So in the summer of 2025, Ultan built one. A walk through the city, ending at a pint you pour yourself, with a Polaroid to prove it happened. Simple, honest, Galway.
Stroll to the Stout. It does what it says. You're walking through one of Ireland's most iconic cities and you're heading for a Guinness. No gimmick, no fluff, just a name that tells you exactly what you're signing up for.
Three friends, three full-time jobs, one shared belief that Galway deserves better than what most tours offer. Ultan and Shane are teachers. Ronan is a marketer. None of us had to do this, we chose to, because we think we can build the best thing to do in Galway. That's the goal. Nothing less.
We keep our groups small on purpose. Not because we have to, because a real conversation in a Galway pub doesn't happen in a crowd of forty. You're not a number on a headcount. You're someone we're bringing into our city, and we want it to feel exactly like that.

What we believe
We cap at 24 people because the good bits stop working with more.
No gift-shop Guinness, no fake sessions. The people we bring you to are friends.
