About Stroll to the Stout

Stroll to the Stout runs nostalgic cultural experiences in Galway, built around an older, slower Ireland. It started with a simple idea: that the real Galway, the local pubs, the live trad, the pint of stout you pour yourself, was quietly slipping away, and worth bringing people back into.

We started Stroll to the Stout to bring people into the other Galway. The older, slower one. Real pubs that have been there longer than any of us, the ones locals still drink in. Live trad played in the corner because someone felt like playing, not because it's on a schedule. And the small, almost forgotten ritual of pulling your own pint of stout and waiting for it to settle, which nobody does for you anymore.

You pour your own pint, you sit in on the music, you hear the stories the guidebooks skip, and you go home with a Polaroid instead of just another photo on your phone. Something you can actually hold.
