Premium Galway Cultural Experience
Walk the city. Pour your own Guinness. Sit down to Dinner and a private trad session at Monroes. Get a lesson in GAA, Ireland's culture, explained properly. Leave with a Polaroid and a postcard. The full Galway afternoon.
What to expect
This is the full picture of Galway in one evening. We walk you through the city, sit you down with live trad musicians booked just for your group, feed you a proper Irish dinner and teach you to pour your own Guinness. You leave with a Polaroid, a coaster, a handwritten card and a postcard to send home. A Gaelic game is on in the background because that is just how it is in a pub here on match night. Nothing is manufactured. This is just Galway, and you are in the middle of it.
Highlights
- Local musicians. One private session. No other tourists. They play trad for a living. Tonight they're playing for you.
- A proper Irish dinner while the music keeps going. At some point it stops feeling like a tour. That's the point.
- Everyone pours their own pint. There's a right way. You'll know it by the end. Polaroid taken while it settles — yours to keep.
- The real Galway before any of that. The streets most visitors walk past. The stories nobody puts on a sign.
- Something to take. Something to send. A handwritten card, a coaster, where the trad is on that week. Write a postcard and post it before you leave. Then the night is yours.

Itinerary
- 01Meet at Spanish Arch (Outside Ard Bia)Spanish Arch, The Long Walk, Galway
You'll spot us outside. Quick introductions, a heads up on what's ahead and we're moving.
- 02Walk Through the City
Through the Latin Quarter, past St Nicholas' Church, over the Salmon Weir Bridge and by the Cathedral. Good stories, a few laughs, no clipboards.
- 03The Private Trad Session
Before the food, before the pint, you sit down with the musicians - locals who actually play these tunes for a living. They'll tell you what you're hearing and where the music comes from. This is a private session booked just for your group
- 04Traditional Irish Food
During the session the food comes out. You get half portions of a proper Irish dinner. Modest in size but the real thing, not a snack plate
- 05GAA: Ireland's Game, Live in the Room
While you're at Monroes, there's an All-Ireland match on the screen, not because we put it on for you, but because that's just what's happening. You leave with a card listing real local club and county fixtures that week, with times and venues, so if the bug bites you, you can go find a match that evening. No tour company in Galway does this
- 06Pour Your Own Pint
Everyone has a go at the Guinness pour. There's a right way to do it and we'll show you. Polaroid taken while it settles. You keep the photo.
- 07Before You Go
A handwritten card, a coaster, and a list of where the best trad is playing in Galway that week, plus any GAA worth going to. Write a postcard and post it before you leave. Then the night is yours.
